3x3x12 African Blackwood

I got this 3 x 3 x 12 piece of African black wood somewhere between 12 and 15 years ago. The actual sizes are more like 3 1/8 of an inch by 3 1/8 of an inch by 12 1/2 inch. The weight is 6 pounds. $150 plus shipping and insurance. There is no sign of checking that I can see on this, but the ends were lightly waxed before shipping from Belforest. It’s in the actual shipping packing provided by Bell Forest the little bit of sap wood probably would go away after trimming to a true 3 inch size

Sorry, it was tempting Tim but the price combined with all the other wood I already need to use, I had to pass. Might be blasphemy but I would have cut it into box sides.

No worries on my end. If I end up keeping it just may end up with a 3x3 block as a salt and pepper mill set.

This is a good price. I sell 12"+ x1.5x1.5 for $25 and 3x3 is much harder to find. Tempted but I have said I am not buying anymore wood or lights. Last 2 weeks snakewood, ty, 4 very rare shades and 6 booked pale moon guitar sets. Sure shows how strong my resolve to not buy is. Yikes...
