I've been asked to turn some spheres for desk ornaments/paperweight-like things, so I'm looking for some wood squares that I can turn into smaller spheres. Best case scenario is to find some that can take a resin pour for hybrids.

Probably have dry aussie burl for hybrids, maple burl and maple quilt + others.

Cool, let me know what prices you're thinking. I would probably need 5-6 of 'em, with preference given to those I can mix for hybrids. It's for a new age shop commission.

If you are looking to mix it up a bit, a piece of @Nubsnstubs Palo Verde with the twisted trunk would allow a mix of wood and epoxy as well in an interesting pattern. Also the feller's cactus trunk might have a way of jumping out atcha as well. Not suggesting to ignore @Mike1950 s burl, that would be my first grab as well... locally a dry triple crotch of just about anything would allow for an interesting design especially if using opaque epoxy.
