Camphor smells great and turns well—4 1/4 inch diameter. The other piece is a 7 inch Bloodwood HF—not done yet but the color UNOILED is amazing.

Wow! That blood wood is startling but I like the subtlety of the camphor. Once you start looking at it you see all the figure and character and it makes it really hard to “visually put down” I imagine this to be the one that people would have problems letting go.

I love turning camphor.
We had a camphor laurel tree in our front yard at our previous house and I loved mowing the leaves for the same reason.

Finished the Bloodwood. Finished beautifully. Tung oil. Needs few more coats.
Wow! That's natural color other than the tung oil? Amazing.
