Although I retired a couple of months ago, it's taken until this week to finally get the health insurance sorted out. Anyway - at last I got to spend some quality time at the lathe and made these four pens and two pencils. I cast the Fordite chunks in Thermoset Solutions polyurethane resin, with three mixes (red, white and blue). Pens are LeRoi v2 Long Barrel (SPW from Exotic Blanks), I think the pencils are PennState.

Eye catching, unique pens and pencils. Won't find those anywhere else and no two are exactly alike. Very cool.

Congrats on retiring! Wonderful job on the pens. Wall Street is excellent choice to show off the Fordite!

I wouldn’t ever use that stuff to make a pen. 😜

Are those label cast?
I noticed what looks like a seam on the third pen.
It's chunks cast in resin, not labels. What you see is the result of two pieces that I had to saw to get them to fit in the casting mold, arranged cut face to cut face before I poured in the resin.
