No..no...no question about that Norm. Im thinking about adding it to BEB ...two version two woods.
I would suggest (highly) that if you, or anyone else does use the acronym (and preferably any other acronyms as well) , in either the title or the post, that one or the other spell out what you are referring to exactly.
As an example...
In the title you could say,
BEB blanks ..
But in the topic, the first post needs to say either buckeye burl or box elder burl...
To avoid confusion. It is not a rule but it should be an etiquette that be followed to make it so anyone looking in on the topic know upfront what it is you are posting.

Does anybody use PEG [polyethylene glycol] anymore? It used to be a WTF.[Wood Turners Favourite] (Sorry, Canadian spelling.)
My late uncle was an Austrian craftsman. He used it to displace the water in wood stock to resist cracking before turning or shaping bowls, banisters, gun stocks, etc. Used to buy it by the barrel here in Canada..., half a century ago.

HOW Hands On Workshop - Used by DelVal Turners where we have turners in our shop to learn a skill or make an object. The workshops provide revenue for our guild. This year is $25 for about 4 to 5 hours skill learning time.
