Thank you Dan. Be happy to make you a set.If I ever get a gun licence I’ll be getting a set of grips from you. They are so fabulous.
Thanks Eric.Very nice. Different but it really works!!!
Yea Tom, he has a Les Baer with the dark finish. I ordered him a set of black torx grip screws as well from Amazon. He said the accessories there are very limited. The shipping is going to cost almost as much as the grips.Nice. Interesting set, Curt. Even more interesting they are going to Germany. Not a lot of handguns there, certainly not like here. And 1911’s too. Yeah, interesting.
Tons of character there! Color is captivating — grows on me. The right grip hosts owls on it! ChuckJust finished this set made of stabilized maple burl for a client in Reutlingen, Germany. Kind of reminds me of peanut butter and jelly, my all time favorite sandwich, especially when layered with sliced bananas.

Lucky you. I wouldn't change anything on it either. It's like finding an old Luger in a pawn shop with scroll engraved ivory grips and a red swastika inlayed in the grips. No idea who owned or carried it, but had to have been brought back by a G.I. from WWII. Not a chance anything would be changed on a pistol like that either. Most weapons there are hunting rifles.
I was lucky enough to get a 1911 in CPM’s first round of their lottery several years ago. All Colt parts, serial number dates it to 1918. Straight 1911, not a A1. Tracked it as far as Brooklyn, NY, meaning it most likely shipped to France in WW I.
Sorry Curt, I’m keeping the original grips on it.
Thank you Chuck. And yes, I see the owl you're referring to. LOLTons of character there! Color is captivating — grows on me. The right grip hosts owls on it! Chuck
