ALL QUESTIONS & COMMENTS REGARDING NEW SOFTWARE GO HERE

Funny how that decides to pick on us randomly. My lag disappeared after Mike deleted the archive of our old site off the server yesterday evening. We went from 90% full on the disk to where it is currently at 74% and all my speed came back immediately. I don't think your issue is the server speed. But then again, when I was having lag yesterday most others weren't. I don't claim to have it figured out. o_O

Keep me apprised though if you will.
I'm not so sure it was random on your part.... When you keep flipping like a crazed lune the computer is bound to retaliate!

Mike I will look into that right now. That's got to be annoying.

Mike, you prbably already answered this but I can't remember - have you reset all your cookies and cleared your cache? Get K to do that for you and let's try that if you haven't already cause everything looks right with your perms . . .

I just tried it....still logged in...

Odd how users experiences are differing so much. I cleared cookies, then logged in and clicked 'keep me logged in.' Haven't had an issue since. Everything comes up ready to go when I visit the site, including new alerts. One thing I'm liking is, when I return to a message board, it starts me out after the last read message I'd viewed previously. That is great.

Still having an awful time with a avatar....
Really hard to reduce a photo that is 100x100 pixels with a file size of 6.2Kbytes down to 100-ish, and still be able to see something bigger then a pin head.

Scott (I could have a butt shot photo, and no one would be able to tell....hehehe) B

Any help?

Scott I went to your website, grabbed a still off your milling vid, reszied and loaded it for you. One minute and 45 seconds. Not quite a butt shot but . . . . like it?

Can only admin do this? It hasn't worked for me, either. What's the secret to getting down to 100 pixels?

Getting down to 100 pixels has nothing to do with the forum. You have to do that before you try to upload. What are you using to resize?

The Gravatar option does work - that's how I got mine. Trying to do a normal site avatar still wants your image at less than 100 bytes. I think the header for an image file is larger than that :)

It doesn't say 100 pixels - it says 100 bytes - that's a much different thing.

A 100x100 image would be easy.

Ken the acp doesn't have the option for pixel size just bytes. I reset the bytes to a KB maybe that will help.

I also just noticed that no one's signature links are actually dynamic - let me work on that too . . . .

That will work for me!

Scott (dynamic signature....that's a mouthful) B

How's that Barb?

Great! Just wish I could play with it myself. I'll keep trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. You have enough to do! But thanks.
