Now, it does get trimmed some, but just as an example. The image I use here is a PNG image that's 170x128 and 24 bit color depth. That clocks in at 33 1/2 KB. I'm not in a place right now where I can play with it (damn that whole 'daytime job to make the rent' thing anyhow) but I can play with it later to see how much I can reduce that down to. Just doing the relative math I *think* that means that a 100x100 should weigh in at about 15K - but I could be way off on that calculation.
 
Ken, yes that makes sense I just increased to 20KB for the time being. Thanks for doing the thinking on that a little overwhelemed right now . . . .

No worries, glad I could help. I don't think anyone was expecting this to fixed right this moment as there are most likely other things of a higher priority. I was just adding to your backlog of things to look at when the time was available :)

I don't see how to PM anyone or am I just blind ?? Used to be when you clicked on a members name you could email or PM them.

I think I figured that out. If you mouse over the envelope in the upper right hand corner, you can "start a new conversation" with someone.

I'll try it with you now. Check your inbox in a minute.

EDIT - I also just figured out that if you click on an Avatar or person's user name, you can "Start a conversation" with that person that way also.

PMs are now called "conversations". But Butch is correct the quickest way is to click their avatar if it's in your view already . . .

But if you need to "pm" someone off the top of your head just clcik the envelope in the top right corner like Mike said, then click "Start a New Conversation".

EDIT - this should be in the site problems thread, not here. sorry.

Not sure if this has been addressed yet but...I was searching the forum for a thread and cant find it. I had started a thread about the charity auction tonight for which several WB members had contributed items, and my search results come back blank.

Anyone else having trouble finding old threads or am I searching incorrectly?
 
Ok who's flipping switches today??? We have a trophy points caper on the loose!! yesterday I had 38 today the only person with some is Kevin and he only has 6 where he used to have 48.... be careful and guard those points unless he comes back again! hehehe
 
@ Butch your thread may have been removed because we don't actually allow members to ask for items for local auctions or charities unless pre-approved, although we've let it slide a time or two we need to make that policy official. No mark against you we alowed it without saying anything. I will try to find the thread though . . . .

@ Greg, I deleted the trophy function but have no idea why it kept 6 for me - I cannot delete them but I'm sure Mike can. It's on my list . . .

Consider me "lesson learnt" and it wont happen again. Thanks for not banning me (although I know you were probably too busy anyway!!)
 
Butch please reread my post - you didn't do anything wrong. We allowed it - but we did not have an official policy about it. We did in the original rules, but the rules were so long no one would read them. So I shortened them. Looks like we are going to have to have a long version again and just insist that new members actually read them. Imagine having to read on a forum lol.
 
I was making a funny (but really wasn't that funny) and was referring to the new member that was accidentally banned...I have to admit that I didn't read the entire rules myself.
 
The site can be integrated to use the forum runner be we need to install the plug in for it. In the mean time it will not work. You will need to use the forum directly thru a browser on your phone/tablet or computer
