Butch- having been here a long time and a mod for a while- newbies that get banned are almost always- bots that got thru- salesmen for large companies or just plain ol dingbats. Pretty tolerant group up there at the control panel- hell they let me in and I definitely qualify on the last count!!!!!
 
Okay I think I finally got all the right levers in the right place where you should be able to cruise the forum and see it without logging in, but where spammers cannot make a post anywhere. Got my fingers crossed anyway see what y'all experience there . . . .
 
...... and my last 6 trophies are gone too. Man if I keep this up I will learn how to help run this place lol. :-)
 
A comment on something I like: remembering what I've actually looked at. Just nice that once I've read a topic and click on the 'New Posts' link the stuff I just read doesn't show up again.

And, if I'm replying to a post, I get notified if someone else has replied in the meantime.

Oh, and the alerts are nice.

And the overall look seems a bit better. It's not radically different but it does look a bit better.

And going back to a thread you've been reading takes you (close) to where you finished reading.

This isn't new (but very worth mentioning): the responsiveness of the admins is outstanding.
 
Anyone figured out how to delete conversations(aka PMs)? It looks as though all my PMs from the old system carried over, and I'd like to purge.
 
Thanks, Butch! Anybody know how to delete them in batches? I can select messages in groups, but there doesn't seem to be an option to trash them in bunches.

check the box- you get choices- chose leave conversations- it will give you options. worked for me.
 
Show your mobile screen shots. Face it smart phoners, there's only so much you can get on a tiny thing like that, but for the sake of comparison, can please post a screenshot so the rest of you can compare what is being seen on the various druids and iWhatevers?
 
I see that everyone's points have been reset to zero, but I do not see a way to leave points for someone, is that coming?
 
I am in the boat with butch. I don't know how to do a screen shot. I have a bigger phone screen so key board interference isn't an issue for me. I went to check how it would look on my old phone and it is more cramped but doable.

It took some finagling, but the banner finally scrolled up.
It must be droids that have the mobile trouble with the banner staying up top and not disapearing as you scroll or post.
