I from what I have found the search function works well on all threads started on the new software. Other than that it doesn't find things very well. In addition on the old user dash board it was easy to track down your own threads now I can't seem to find a fast effective way to track down my stuff. I have been looking for a thread of mine from a year or so back so I can up date it with some new info but I can't find it.
 
I'm just wondering if there's something that needs to be/could be done to index the articles that existed prior to the new software. I would guess that that could be part of the issue - if it's not indexed you're not going to find it through a search (obviously.)

Oct 23, 2013 is the first post by Kevin in this topic letting us know "We're back"...so must it be at that timeframe.
 
I know he posted in this thread a few times after the change. Around page 14 or 15? Sure seems like he just disappeared though...
 
Did we lose the Gallery thread ??? And I notice the "Recent Finds" thread has the "This is a place to showcase wood you do not intend to sell here" that went with the Gallery thread .

The wood gallery has been rolled into the Recent Finds forum. I got tired of having to police it.

Regarding Brink, he just emailed me back. He's just been busy. I wasn't gonna say anything but I was worried enough that I called. Left a message. Probably crossed the line but it just weren't like him to go away and not leave us a "So long, and thanks for all the fish" note.

So the good news is the monkey man is alive and well. The bad news is the monkey man is alive and well, and we'll have to continue to tolerate him whenever he gets more time to spend with us pester us.
 
Ok. i have been able to look at posts with my HTC hero until the site change. Now i still can but it is slow and page header is all messed up. I have tried deleating everything on my phone but when i reinstall it is the same.I do not have any apps on my phone for the site.. maybe that would help? Had the one glitch tonight with Marcus's photo. Tablet works for reading but no posting? Man, Not the guy to talk to about this but will help out however I can?

P.S. toggle between old and new W.B. did nothing. Could not see new format on anything. Hope this helps....

This is not a big deal but I just noticed that none of my "likes" migrated to the new site. Had to start over.:depressed:

John, no one's likes migrated sadly. We all started over from scratch. We lost all of our reps too. We knew this going in. It was discussed a great deal. I asked Audentio to make file saving the reps in case we ever got a system that could immigrate them but frankly I don't think that happened either.

P.S. I just gave you a like now you have 3. Spend more time here get more likes. :sarcastic2:
