Wire ordered off amazon, cheaper than I could get it anywhere near me. 8 gage for the heater and 16 gage for the thermostat.

I got the wire today so I hope to get it installed this weekend. Took it out of the box to check for damage, looks good.

I've had this in my cart for months. Amazon prime day comes and it was 55% off so I pulled the trigger and bought it. I also got the 40amp breaker and a wall mount thermostat. It has a remote controll thermostat built into it but reviews said the wall mount works better. I just want it to take the chill off when I have the occasional winter project in the garage. It's pretty compact and will hang from the rafters up and out of the way. YouTube reviews where pretty good.

So the day after they deliver it it goes even lower, 70% off, $89 !

Man don't set any metal on that work bench.... you'll scratch that beautiful top :sarcastic:. How big of saw do you have for your CSM?
It won't be beautiful for long, lol.
I can get 38" wide.

What brand is your bar? I like the double ended bars but haven't found one I could justify the price on.
I have a foresters 42 inch on a 90some cc Stihl 660 clone.
I honestly don't remember, but I purchased it from bailey's I believe. And it wasn't cheap! But it allows me to mount a helper handle and roller to the other end. Honestly the helper handle isn't used but the roller is much heavier duty tha any bar roller. I think a lot if this stuff is available from grandberg directly now.

Today I got the garage heater installed. I had to make a bracket to attach to the roof rafters to get the heater bracket to hang level. I cut a piece of 2x6 and attached some plywood to the sides to act as mounting bracket saddles.

Then i marked 2 holes to be drilled for lag bolts to attach the heater cieling bracket.

And then attached that assembly to the roof rafter.

And then hung the heater.

Ran all the wires, 8 gage romex on a 40 amp 220 breaker for the heater and 16 gage for the thermostat. Tested it out and everything works

I didn't run it for long because it was already 84 degrees in the garage, lol. But it definitely blows some serious heat, it's going to heat my work area just fine.
