Here's another 'user' that I finished up a week or so ago. It's cherry that I got from a friend in Indiana. I was coring this blank when a 'design opportunity' stuck in the form of a crack. I used the plate jointer and a few pheasant wood splines from a nice little blank that shadetree sent me. This is my wife's favorite bowl… She loves the contrasting splines.

Around 11 inches across and 5 inches deep. Finished with walnut oil.

Comments, criticism, and suggestions appreciated.

Really creative. I ever thought of dealing with cracks that way. I usually go to a smaller bowl !
Keep em coming man ! I'm living vicariously through you. No power... 80 year o,d father in law for a shadow and I'm on my 82nd round of 20 questions :dash2:
Brought my iPad to the dark shop and he followed.. Keep em coming ,
