I recently hung new doors in my house. Now the cupboards and Furness closet looked out of place. I figured what the heck grab some scrap wood i had left over from another Project And Decided to Face the furnace closet to match the New doors.I started by ripping down some 2x4 For the center slots Then I framed it out with some
1x 6

What do you guys think As always your input is much appreciated

Is that still a working furnace? If so, might get too hot for a wood door. Otherwise, think it looks great! Chuck

Nicely done!

At first, I had the same thought, but I doubt the furnace gets too much use in SoCal

That is correct we barely use it and it has a heat shield on the inside I just faced the outside to make it match my new interior doors

Nice job! I need to do the same for our furnace, right now it has 2- 1"x12"s over it. Really shameful for a woodworker....
