Certainly hope he comes back here and joins in the fun again. I know he helped me immensely thinking about color and design on basket illusions. We've had some very interesting discussions thanks to his expertise.

Me too. I also had some good business transactions with him and he made some generous contributions to the site.

I did value his advice even if it was delivered with a sledgehammer.

Well now, this thread, like most threads on WB has gone on a couple different tracks. Dunt cha love WB. So fun!
My reason with Arn is I'm going to spend a week in August in NY. Go to a Mets game and a Yankees game each and do the tourist stuff around the area. He told me to be sure to let him know if I ever did.
Yeah @Mike1950 so sorry about your mom but glad she had you and Cathy for her. It's hell getting old!!
OBTW they are playing my Astros!!

I would much rather have that than some panty waste putting sugar on everything and expecting a participation trophy. He is extremely knowledgeable and has no problem saying what he thinks. World would be better with more like him.

I was told that later after the fact from someone else. I have messages, that are long rants about my defects as a human being. Ps my mother was passing that week. Come here to de-stress not get stressed. I am not only one that got rants. I blocked him. Totally off the rails and he chased off somebody that was very talented and did absolutely NOTHING wrong.
If bashing new members is A OK, please let me know.
I was never too sure about that guy, a few times I've opted to ignore his comments. That said he never really offended me.

This forum is no different than any other place where humans are gathered together, whether it be work, school, church, etc.
All people are not going to get along all the time, it's just human nature it seems. It's a clash of different personality types, opinions, etc. But I do believe that we all make mistakes but should also strive to be more tolerant of others. This is not always easy because pride and emotions come into play. I'm guilty of this also. We should pause before we open our mouths or touch the keyboard so that common sense, logic, and kindness can come into play rather than our male egos and opinions. I say this because this is mostly a male activity here. I love this forum because it's an escape from all the social media and negativity that is rampant in the world today. Can we all just get along or at least make an effort to? If you don't have anything good, constructive, or nice to say then say nothing at all, this would go a long way to making things much more pleasant here and in life in general. Moderators and admins sometimes have to get tough but we usually try and do that behind the scenes. For the most part the good people here self moderate the site and we rarely have to intervene. It's a big dysfunctional family and community.
Sorry for the long post, just my thoughts.

No need to be sorry. That had to be said.

You, and all other mods and admin do a fabulous job of taking care of biz.
If anyone is to blame it would be me. I said the words that offended Arn. I am at least as independent and as blunt as he is/was.
If i had it to do over I would do the same. If we look back, I have never liked bashing new members especially in intro and for being a small seller. We need to remember, our founder, Texas Timbers ? On WT Kevin was a seller. I regret the blow up but, it is embarrassing to me to bash people and chase new members off. IMO is is a very bad look and example of what Wood Barter represents. I hope Arn comes back.
