For those members who were not logged in while we had the round ones, I will set them to round again tomorrow sometime so members can see how they look. I can toggle them back and forth a few times if need be.

BTW, I found out from Mike that the avatar max size is 192 pixels. It's set there and cannot be changed. Not small though compared to most forum. I can change the file szie but I have it set to 20KB which is plenty big for any tyype of 192 x 192 file format I believe. If you avatar is much bigger, the software is supposed to resize it for you. So avatar uploading should be a breeze for anyone now.

Happy with either, even though I did go find a reticle to fit in the round "gunsight" avatar window.

I noticed that - thought it was cool too. Why not use a square image of you?

Seeing that the voting is definitely going square, I played around with a number of alternatives, but keep coming back to your suggestion. The resemblance is uncanny.

I like the square. And I also like the info at the bottom of our avatars giving our locations and first names, that's really nice.

That has nothing to do with round vs square, that just has to do I finally figured out how to throw the right levers. Blush.

Kevin ( or who ever) I m not very puter savy, and can't figure out how to get a avatar pic down to the 19.5 kb that it says I need. I can get the pic down to 110 x 150 or smaller, but the kb says 37.5 or there abouts. If I get a pic down to the 19.5 kb you coun't even see the pic as it would be so small. Heck I just tried again, and droped the size to 50 x 37, and was still 30 kb. So as you can tell I suck at this type of stuff. :)

Steve - Try to edit and replace the picture I posted as your avatar. Several members have had luck this way. If it doesn't work start email me the pic you want and I'll see if I can do it for you.

I feel more at home being square.

But, if given a choice between square and circle, I would choose oval.

I've been known to stir the pot. :)
