Looking pretty decent there? That is enough to put a slowdown on me and I am not 50 yet..there is a lot of work on that trailer.
45 minutes to get there then back. 6.5 hours, I definitely feel it. I love opening the package but will be turning my ship in different direction this year.

Aw man, I hate to hear that... There is such pleasure in the chase...
I know. I don't get the burls here yet due to time. (I am still working too much) But even the high figure.wood is exciting.
I agree. I love the qwest , finding and opening. I like the work, but 75 yr old body says WHATTTTT!

If you think you're old now, wait another 4-5 years. It hit me like a slap in the face. If I don't get to feeling better, I have about 5 more months to decide what I'm gonna do after hitting 80. If woodworking wasn't such a heavy lifting ordeal, I'd keep doing it until I can't stand upright anymore. ........Nubs

Man I totally get the age thing. I'm only 65 and my body is already arguing with me. I keep going but I usually pay the price. My back is my biggest issue and I get winded very easy with exertion. I have a new doctor so we'll see if there's anything that can be done for relief or if I just have to live with it as I have been. Mike, as you know, aging ain't for sissies.

True but many never got that far. A few others have stated the older you get, the docs you see... and a certain preventive medication that was supposed to keep my blood plumbing clean that I have taken for 30 years, did not work. So now, I add cardiologist to my list of specialists. Lots of this was not in brochure I got. Gotta enjoy life though. I know lots of my activities, the mill for one is not on approved list.

So many rules. Grew up with one food pyramid, turned it upside down, I do not know when, we still ate the same now turned it back to where it was so we are on right side again. I personally go to stick to what I have eaten my whole, and if need be it will just be a little white lie..

Just slowing down. If i just sell and not buy i will be selling for 5-? Yrs. Ialso collect art deco slip shade lighting. In 10 yrs i have sold half of what I collected.. much better at getting than getting rid of....

As a lifelong “collector,” I can testify to that!

You can't quit buying. I wish I could afford to have tractor trailer loads shipped here to saw, dry and sell. Then I'd say happy retirement 🤣🤣
