Another weird one from me, folks. Baphia nitida. Common names are camwood, barwood, african sandalwood.. So far, I can find links to it as a dye wood (considering my textile interests thats pretty cool), but not much else. A search on here doesn't give anything whatsoever either.
Has anyone worked with it? I have just paid for a piece along with some other stuff (super exciting - will give more details later), and had never heard anything about it, heard of it, seen it.. anything. Chap I am getting it from has likely had it for many years. Of course, photos when it arrives, but I wanted to ask if anyone has any information or experience with it aside from what I have already managed to find.
