Twelve inches in diameter. Rough-turned on 4-1-25 and completed it a couple of days ago. Used polyurethane finish.

Will give it to the neighbors who gave us all the wood we wanted from the tree. The tree appeared absolutely dead for at least two years before it was cut. I was really surprised by how wet the wood was when I first turned it. It was the victim of birch borer.

Nice bowl! Looks a little like cherry. Do you have a Coles jaw? Can I see the foot?

Really nice bowl and great color. I'm not surprised that it was still wet after standing dead for a couple of years. Birch with the bark on is very difficult to dry.
