Black and Gold New Orleans Saints coasters

Awesome! Are those fractal burned? And what's the top coat? Looks to be some type of epoxy?

Good luck during the playoffs!!

I'd try making some myself, but as a Redskin's fan I doubt I could sell them much less even give them away. :scare3:

Yes, burns with black and gold epoxy. The emblem is vinyl and all covered in clear epoxy.

Very cool, even for a saints.

Do you dull up the blades first?

Hell no! Lol the epoxy is rock hard once it’s cured so each tooth is pretty much always wrapped tightly in a sheath.

Darn those are nice, the sports van crowd is a great market. I wonder though about the price. You have a ton of work and material involved even in one coaster. Do you find there's a price point you can't go over? I'm sure up here Packer's fans would buy them up faster than I could produce them ( if I could make them). Can you keep up with demand?

Im in Southeast Louisiana so the Saints are super hot right now, have been for years. Same with LSU right now.

For my standard "off the shelf" coasters they are moving without hesitation at 5 for $50. Complex or custom jobs start at $80 for 5. Price breaks when ordering 5 sets or more, same as my clocks. Its not as much material as you'd think, the walnut is actually the most expensive part but I have a deal with a buddy of mine so even that isn't what id call expensive. I make and print all the graphics myself so cost is minimal after the initial investment in the machine, but ill probably start sub-ing this work out in the future. Fractal burning is no cost after the initial investment as well. Each coaster holds about .50 cents of epoxy, burns and clear coat included.

It takes 4 days minimum to complete a set but in reality 95% of that time is waiting for the epoxy to cure so when I get to that point I just go start the next project... And the same goes for my clocks.

Do you find there's a price point you can't go over?
For the standard coasters people really start to pull back around $60 for 5. As of now I haven't found the ceiling for custom jobs because they are all so different, they take what they take....

A lot of customers ask about the materials and the cost of them, I never answer and simply explain to them that they aren't paying for the material, they are paying for my skillset. I know that sounds arrogant but its true, I've never lost a job by saying that. People seem to understand how unique BBEpoxy is and are willing to pay for it...

Hey Brody, thanks for the reply and information. I thought later I was getting too personal but I'm as impressed by how people market and manage their business as the actual product. That's something that would be a good topic at a club demo or seminar. You've got a good grasp of your product and business. Good answer for those asking about materials. Thanks again for a through explanation. Top shelf product too.

Not intruding, Im an open book. When I started this I couldn't tell you how many people gave me good advice and their time with no expectation of anything in return. Now its my turn...
