Boat building

Fill coat complete and keel installed. Fairing is next, then strakes/runners.

Mike and Dave got it. Think famous movie scene.
Give me a hint...Mike's lines remind me of "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner". Can't say there was a movie. Jaws celebrates 50 years, don't recall a scene like the picture posted. Don't recall On Golden Pond having night scenes, or Grumpy Old Men. How Far do we Go?

MUCH more famous movie scene.

Mikey was hinting for an invitation for a boat ride and some fishing. Fredo also wanted to go fishing.

Torn between "Burly Bastard" and "Curly Pig". The latter might keep Mikey away.
Not to poke the pig plank, but “Burly bastard and curly pig” has shades of connotation’s in the West Village Scene if you get my drift. The leather mc jacket would complete the cosplay - just saying and speaking for a friend:

Only in NYC could such names bring such to mind!

"Burly Bastard" is excellent, especially if you say it with an Aussie accent, hard B's and A's that sound like 'ahs'. You could go with Flying Porker or The Shredded Swine.

Oh, ....never had a Godfather, so no desire to ever watch. Movies are an escape for me so I try viewing things reflective of Christ. See enough of the other if I watch the news.

Understand completely. It would be easy to say The Godfather movies (or at least 1 and 2) are among the best ever made - I do think so and many agree - and thay you're missing out. But they are also violent and heavy - and I totally get choosing not to volunteer for such.

I've carried well over 100 to the hole, and held hands of many while crossing over. I will pass for now. I have read reviews and heard many stories. I mean no disrespect in my choice. Hope to see some fish pictured along side or in your craft soon.

I agree. Great movie, the old boats, furniture, cars and most of all the lights in boathouse scene are worth watching the movie.

This discussion made me realize I hadn't watched these movies in years, so I watched The Godfather last night and was blown away (again) by how good it is. There aren't many movies I can get totally engrossed and lost in. The script, musical score, scenery, and acting that feels more real than acting (a lost art, it seems) all work together so incredibly well - you sometimes feel you're watching something real rather than a movie. An amazing watch. My bride is out of town, so I'm planning to watch Part II tonight - I hope it is also even better than I remember it.
