Have seen the top photo many times, but have never seen the bottom one. A previous bossman had one about that size hanging over the front door entrance.
Oh, come on guy. Its 2026 for goodness sake! Get a mini gun and some missiles. Good grief.
I bet the recoil on that is noticeable.
The missiles need some launch tubes. A much more economical option is to install a grenade launcher.
And to be fair, you won’t be shooting at anything you can’t see anyway because that would require reconnaissance equipment and personnel which he can’t afford.
Brings back memories. Wonder what happened to dad's 4 gauge and 6 gauge shot guns. Think the 6 had like a 6 foot barrel. Just remember it was taller than me back then....

Finally figured out a plan for mounting a bilge pump and sensor. I'd pretty much resigned myself to installing it in the rear bilge area, despite the boats low point being a few feet further, as I hate working on/replacing bilge pumps under decks/floors. I took one last look at the keelson under the hatch (I'd want to attach there rather than the hull bottom), and the notches for the hatch cover support gave me an idea - why not cut another notch and create a bilge mounting "saddle"? Here's what I came up with...
Oversized epoxy-filled holes in both the saddle and keelson, which I'll redrill for bronze screws to fully secure it. Hatch cover will rest on it. Easily removable for working on or replacing parts above deck. And easy to add a second pump on the other side should I decide that would be valuable.

My granpa had a 6 guage. We called it the "goose gun".

Soles epoxied in place - need to get gaps filled and edges fileted and glassed. I'll then work on getting the deck pieces sized, cut and dry-fit - mainly to see what scraps I'll have for shelves, etc. Hopefully can work the cuts out well enough to avoid picking up an extra piece of plywood.
The light at the end of the tunnel is shining brighter all the time! Sweet.

I just hope the state lets him use it. Cracking down on home made boats and trailers in our state.
