Box Elder

Hollow with burl and flame would be amazing!!! He still have it? Box elder is definitely a no tool turning material with how soft it is. Either has to be cast or use sanding and great sealer but that flame is pretty enough to make up for it. I’m not a fan of the all flame honestly. It’s prettier where they blend. My green pile is full of winter clump wood (frozen piles) too. Hope that disc improves. Back issues are no joke.

I'm getting there. My past is catching up with me quickly. Chainsaws and guns=hearing loss. High school football and motocross=bad knees, back, shoulders. Right now I'm thinking both rotator cuffs are shot. Gonna have to go to see. Knees are bad. Doc said if it goes out again...knee surgery. My job takes a toll on me with all the walking and climbing mountains. I'm in fairly decent shape but... I just got finished training one of our new guys. 23 yes old. He'd leave me and say come on. I told him I'll get there just not as fast as him. Ive got 30 yes on you. Tell me how fast you are in 30 yrs.

Hearing aids. I as at Costco yesterday. Out the door, $1599.99 worth every penny. Guns music saws equipment and did i say guns.. when I started shooting in 1956, hearing protection was sorta non existent... take it easy, new parts are spendy and by no means as good as original equipment.
 
Even better reason for the gubment to pass the hearing protection act. Make it easier to get suppressors with no tax stamp. Only reason I'm getting one is for the grandkids to go shooting and not have damage. Still make them wear hearing protection. It won't cause the crime rate to go up like a lot of libs think

Kathie bought a ruger 22. Threaded barrel. Now you cannot buy or sell it. You can still own it in Washington. Barely.she started with a kimber micro 9. I tried talking her out of it. But she fell in love with the glitz. Laser . She shot it once. Puny hands. And recoil friendly it is not. So she stole my birthday present. Full sized kimber with optics. But she prefers 22. I really do not care. I hunt with a 10 on side. When I was young I had no handgun. Of course no wolf, cougar grizz and all of them were scared of humans. Not anymore in NE Washington.
The suppressor thing is stupid. But so much un true stuff.
