Perfect! I don't know taxidermy, but I would have to say your work is continually stellar! ChuckNeat little project just delivered. The base is made from wood so there you go! The rock is a reproduction which keeps the weight down

beautiful birds too. Those woodys are beautiful mounts.
Both of those are beautiful!
Diehard birders have networks that alert them when a rare bird is sited and they'll travel many miles, even catch a flight, to see that bird and add it to their list. Sometimes doesn't even have to be all that rare, just something they haven't seen before. To each their own I guess. We got a duck that matches a European Pochard in our stream. Male has been seen with 3 ducklings several times and no one has seen the female. Amazing how excited people get over something different.
….and not bad on the table. One of my favorites. Those woodys are beautiful mounts.
Stunning
I had to look up European pochard. It looks really similar to our canvasback. We got a duck that matches a European Pochard in our stream. Male has been seen with 3 ducklings several times and no one has seen the female. Amazing how excited people get over something different.
It does, also looks like the Common red head. Canvasbacks are known to breed here but red heads are not known to breed here. The eye ring is part of the issue. I'll let the birders fight this one out and sit back. Side note, the ducklings were grey with black beaks.I had to look up European pochard. It looks really similar to our canvasback.
