Burls for bowls (9 x 3)

Hi @Mike1950 from the last batch of photos I’m not sure about the buckeye yet, but I’d like everything else…the mango, the two Aussies, the 8 x 8 rambutan and the 2 7x7’s in the last two photos. Is there any chance you can send a couple more photos of the buckeye in the next day or two? Thanks!

@SA-Motors here are 2 red gum eucalyptus burls I have. One on the left goes up to 17”wide but parts of it are skinny. It’s up to nearly 4” thick. If you don’t mind maybe doing a natural edge bowl with those pockets on the sapwood side you’d probably get a 9-10” diameter bowl I feel.
The one on the right is up to 12” wide in spots and up to 4.25” thick. Probably get a 3” thick bowl in about a 9” diameter.
Left is $80
Right is $75.

Hi @Mike1950 The Rambutan piece and Longan piece look the same. And the piece labeled Rambutan also has a Longan 1133 label on it. Can you clarify, are these both Rambutan, both Longan or in fact one of each?

@Mike1950 I received my Longan today, and it's both beautiful and enormous!!! It's everything I thought it would be, but bigger. Which is just fine in this case.

@SA-Motors i also dug out this Jarrah burl blank I have. It has a few voids, not sure if that’ll be a deal breaker. It’s 9 7/8”x2”. $80

I’d like to turn some bowls out different burls. Ideally 3 inches high and 8 to 9 inches in diameter. Anyone have any dry pieces?

Hi @mesquite&me I'd love to see what you have! Do you have a blank can make an 8 to 9 inch bowl. 3 inches thick? I do have a mesquite blank that is about 7 1/2" but it is straight grained with no figure. I'd like some a bit more exciting if you have such! Here is a picture of what I have.
