Nearly dry @14.5⁰/⁰, both pieces have pith and some worm holes ,the bowl also has a very small amount of rot on the edge that will likely be turned away. The bowl is 8.5 x 8.5 x 3.75 the mill is 3 x 3 x 11.50. $60 for the pair shipped in a LFRB to 50 states . IMG_20250906_110040992.webp

You should change your title to include carvers. Butternut is one of the best woods to carve. It carves like basswood and to be honest looks hundreds of times better. It is a great deal too.

Good suggestion, maybe I should list some smaller pieces as carving blanks. I was going to try to get a few call blanks, I guess if I leave them whole they can work for both. I've got quite a bit of this wood and I know that I will never use it all.
