Hey All, sorry if I posted in the wrong category. I'm looking for user reviews for the BLUE Spruce card scrapers. Im using a no name scraper which gives me decent results. Forgot to mention that I am using my scraper on hand carved wood spoons. I want to up grade and the Blue Spruce seems to be worth it. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I can't speak to the Blue Spruce/Woodpecker scrapers, but I've gotten mine from Lee Valley and been very pleased with them. $8.50 each, or set of 4 for $27.50.

I almost pulled the trigger on a sale from Blue Spruce a few months back, but the shipping cost was absurdly ridiculous. So I passed up the chance to own some. Chuck

For spoons it is better to try and get your finish without scrapers. While scrapers will always work, the finish they give is not as good as a good knife finish.

I have used no name scrapers when I needed them and it worked out fine. I now have some scrapers from Lee valley because they were on sale at dictum (where I buy most of my tools)
The Lee valley scrapers are very good. Their stropping compound is also really good. Probably the best on the market short of diamond compounds. If you don’t have it, it is totally worth the 18 bucks.
