I bought the gouge before Christmas and had a custom aluminum handle made for it. First time getting to play with it as I just got the handle this week. This thing is AWESOME!

Doing the happy dance now...

Looks like some quality work in Carter and sons tools. May have to get one when next gouge needs replacement.
By the way, must be nice having such ready availability of NIP.

How deep is that vessel shaping up to be Don? With a hollowing tool on a handle like that you might not need Mr Ellsworth’s help.
