Thanks Tim. It's always fun to see what the shading is going to be like from the forest fire... you never quite know what you're gonna get. Sometimes they are bright in the middle and sometimes they are kind of smokey all the way through like the one next to the olive spoon. You may call them rustic, but they are fantastic! The contrast between the finished red interior and the "rough" black perimeter is spectacular.
Really really nice. You might want to crank your spoons a bit so that they are easier to use.my wife wanted something next to the bed to put her jewelry in at night when she goes to bed. I’ve always liked the combination of jewelry and rustic wood, so I made a few rustic Ceanothus trays or bowls. Fooled around with a few kitchen utensils while I was at it.

Haha, ya, that was my first spoon ever. There’s definitely room for lots of improvementReally really nice. You might want to crank your spoons a bit so that they are easier to use.
Very kind words, thank you!@Burly Man These are gorgeous! I think this is the first finished work of yours I've seen, and it's amazing!
I'll offer a rare complement from my side and say I believe you did justice to the amazing wood you used for the bowls.
Breath-taking!
