Active, in what way? Many members work. I check in about 2-3 times a day. Too often, but enjoy seeing the many crafts.

Welcome from Illinois. May seem a bit slow at times here, but it ebbs and flows with the seasons, weather and life. I can guarantee any questions you might have won't go unanswered for long.
For me, summer is a slow time woodworking, too busy growing things. Many here have multiple hobbies and responsibilities and when the weather is nice, a lot are outdoors instead of in the shop.
