Cheese Slicer. Just a tiny bit of shop time today. I had done most of this, except for drilling the hole and cutting the groove, before the heart event.
This was an end piece of walnut where a knot had rotted through. I poured two colors of resin: Ocean Blue, followed by a Canary Yellow/Gold. It actually looks better in person. 9" x 5.5" Figured Walnut and Maple. Several coats of Lacquer.

How you feeling John?
I'm hanging in there. Thanks for asking. It's a mess, though. I had a Heart Catch by Dr. P. He said I needed a triple by-pass, and I ended up with Dr. H. They ran all the necessary tests and the day of the By-Pass. They started and found I had a weak right side and valve leakage. At this smaller hospital, he decided he didn't have the appropriate tool(s) and the medicine to do the bypass. As they were shutting it all down, I crashed on them. After getting me back, Dr. H. consulted a different doctor. Dr. E. They decided Dr. E would put in stents instead.

Once my original Dr. P found out, he was not consulted. He was Pissed off... He said they should have flown me to Indianapolis for the Bypass. and not done the Stent work. Dr. P said I would have gotten an additional 20 years with the bypass. But now, because of the way my body reacted to the past stent work. He fears 2-4 years, I'll be back needing the bypass. We will consult in ten days. We may just have to make sure we have a surgeon aware and ready at a bigger hospital in Indianapolis. But for now... it is what it is. God is good.

Wow, quite an experience for sure. I know most doctors and nurses all try their hardest to do the best thing for their patients but when stuff like that happens it makes you wonder.

The picture is gorgeous! In person it must be stratospheric! Glad you are back in the shop. I’m sure it is a needed distraction! Quite the story on your health. Praying for wisdom by the doctors. Chuck
