Hi all, hope you’re doing well and staying out of trouble.

We’ve been back in the workshop spending some time at the lathe, working through more of the cherry wood we were lucky enough to be given by a friend. It’s an absolute dream to turn—really clean cuts and a lovely finish straight off the tool.

Lately we’ve been focusing on a small series of bowls. They all follow a similar shape and use a fairly simple, repeatable turning process, which has made it a really enjoyable run to work through. We’ve shared a photo of the series, and we’ve also put together a video showing the making of one of the bowls from start to finish.

If you’d like to take a look, here’s the video:

We’d love to hear what you think. And if you enjoy the video, please consider subscribing—it really helps us out.

Thanks,

Nice series of bowl. Cherry is amazing for carving too. I’m working on a split salad server and it is so nice.
