Cleaning Out

Well, it's time to do some cleaning out of the shelves and bins. Life circumstances dictate it. I'm not giving up woodworking completely - just being realistic with what I can actually do in the time I can spend in the shop and focusing on other priorities in life. I'm going to limit any wood sales here to what I can fit in USPS Flat Rate boxes and am working on other means of selling or rehoming larger pieces that don't fit so neatly in FRBs. I packed these boxes more than 3 months ago while doing some shop cleaning, so the pictures, plus whatever descriptions I can remember, will hopefully suffice. Many boxes got multiple images to try and show everything in them. Some things are labeled, but not much. I'm not opening the boxes and labeling pieces (if I can even remember what some of it is at this point!) with what is what species.

Payment by PayPal. Prices include shipping in either a MRFB or a LFRB, as described.

MFRBs of Pen Blanks. First picture is the tote full of blanks these boxes were filled from. Many various species. Majority domestics of various kinds, with some of that with some figure, but certainly some exotics, and the occasional more special blank. Lots of great blanks.

I started these as an intended run of turned lidded boxes, which I obviously never got a chance to finish. Some nice pieces in here for it - and they're all marked and paired for orientation still. Finish them as boxes or turn them into stoppers or something else - whatever you want to do.

Large Flat Rate Game Box full of veneer. I got this here some time ago through one of the auctions. It's been fun using pieces from this here and there over time in the occasional project - I've used probably 10 or 12 pieces from this box - but won't use anymore at this point. Excellent for small projects.

Per my original message, I packed these a few months ago. I can figure out some, based upon the pictures, but I've got no desire to reopen the boxes. I'll see what I can identify tomorrow - it's time to call it a night now.

I don't need an exhaustive list, but just a general idea. For example, Box G only has 1 blank labelled. I have no idea what the rest is. Domestic? Exotic? Rare? Common? It kind of impacts the price a lot. Box E has the most pieces labelled, but it looks to be the box with the most potential for variability in pricing.

Yeah, Ive gotten some great scores since joining this group! As a newcomer to woodworking (and now wood collecting), I definitely appreciate what all the members have to offer.

The larger, probably close to 2" piece, pretty certain - I think that's what that piece was labeled at one point. The two 1" spindle pieces definitely certain - I can see my writing on the end of them in the pic. Cuban Mahogany grows in Florida too and I've had a number of pieces pass through my shop over time. Including some old sinker stuff that had this amazing color and tight growth rings to it. (There may even be a couple pen blanks of that old stuff in the pen blanks boxes...)
