Offering this one (1) new/unused Japanese “Toishi” natural whetstone from Niigata Perfecture. Block size: 5.875” long , 1.880” wide & 1.185” thick. Grit 1000-1200. Weight: 1.02 pounds. This is in the beginning/starting category grit of medium stones for your “go to sharpening stone” to regaining an edge. Ideal use for knives, chisels, plane blades, razors and the like. “Toishi” natural whetstone is getting fairly harder and harder to obtain.
I ended up purchasing two (2) of these to make financial sense of international shipping cost as it is fairly pricey from Japan- one (1) was purchased as a spare directly from a tool supplier in Japan. Only need one as it will last me for a lifetime. This is new and still have the original plastic sleeve intact.
Retails for $ 200 and shipping does cost about $ 50 for 2 pound billable weight via EMS- see snapshot for reference. Price is $$$ shipped priority to the 50 states.
