Hi everyone, I am in the market for some lilac wood, please let me know if any of you have any for sale. Here are a few pictures of the color that I am looking for. I really like the purple colored lines like in the pictures below.
Let me know and aloha.

I just bought a tiny log that's going to make a tiny flute, wish it had those pinks in it though. A bowl wood look amazing in a piece like in your picture.
I could swear I saw some large logs in the US on Ebay recently, but maybe they sold.

Im sorry to say this but all the lilac I thought i had was not lilac...it was rainbow poplar. Im not very familiar with either one but long story short, a friend of mine informed me that what I had was infact just purple and green poplar heart wood? The picture doesn't show much color but it's very lavender-ish color and light green.

Only have one stick left, will cut to your specs for shipping if you want it. Got any 6 x 6 x 2.5” defect free blanks of Macadamia to trade?

Hi @Jonkou if @Kalai passes on it, I’d be interested in a 20 inch long piece of it cut from the straighter end of it. I don’t have macadamia to trade, but I do have lots of other stuff.

I grew up in Iowa. Had an awesome lilac bush in back yard.
When I started woodturning way back in 2000 I visited the homeland & scored some lilac from my dad's neighbor.

Had lots of purple veins, but nothing like the first 2 photos posted in this thread.
Yes it cracks like hell when drying , but it's beautiful wood, especially with the purple veins. Smells sweet like the flowers. YUMMY !!!

Saw a 5" diameter piece once. :shok:
Would love to have more...
Saw a root burl once too. It was magnificent !!!

Rift sawn doesn’t work well on what I will use it for, only use flat or quarter sawn. For that reason only will pass on it. Have anything else thats unique to offer else we can do $15 plus shipping if you prefer, will cut to fit in a med FR usps box.

Hi John, I do not have what your looking for right now. I think the cash will be best, let me know the total and how to get the funds to you and I will make it happen. Aloha.
