Decorative platter is sycamore with Jo Sonya iridescent colors of teal,purple and gold applied over black lacquer.Ornament is sycamore with the same colors applied.Finial is Bradford Pear with black lacquer applied.Bradford pear is great for finials because of the straight tight grain.

Beautiful work!

Good to know about the bradford pear. I've been using apple for finials, but at some point in time will run out.

Love the colors. I've got some of the Jo Sonya paints, but haven't had time to work on technique yet.
