Finished a couple bowls I turned back around jan/feb, just turned them once so not perfectly round anymore. Had only turned one or two natural edge bowls before and be many years since trying. Pretty happy with how it came out, was a pain in the butt to sand it. The walnut i cut down after it halfway uprooted in our yard, the maple blew down in our yard last year. Both are around 13"

Very nice - and you get extra credits for arranging the grain smack dab in the center of the the live-edge bowl. That seldom happens by accident (at least, not to me!)

Looking good! I like the way the Maple spalted. Did you do anything special, or was it just "laying around" for about a year (since the tree came down)?

Nope didn’t do anything to it, had some parts with real nice spalting but was too soft.
