the bees wing cherry came out of a barn in PA. Has been in there as long as the family can remember. Very dense and heavy. Made an excellent pin and the other , of coarse is quilted maple

Very nice traditional pins from some very pretty wood. They will last for generations we have one made from BEM that belonged to my great grandmother, I am sure is close to 150 years old. I recall my grandmother using it, then my mother, and my wife used it for a while then hung it on the wall to look at. We can only imagine how many pie crusts it touched. One thing sure whomever ends up with them will never wear them out.

@pvwoodcrafts Mind if I ask what your finish is on these and did you put something on that maple? It looks nicely darkened.

I use Dr Woodshop's walnut oil with wax on my rolling pins. The quilt has only walnut oil with wax. The flash from the camera really digs into the figure and darkens it, however it is a darker than average piece of quilt
now you did it...my wife saw these and guess what my day is to be used for tomorrow? Very exquisite rollers for sure!
