@wood128 @FLQuacker Joe / Wayne, here are pictures of the curly Peruvian Walnut (Juglans neotropica). Dimensions are 15/16" x 7" x 7'. I can cut this to length if you (or others) want to split it. I am asking $80 for this piece.
The first seven pictures were taken outside early this morning, and the last two were taken inside with a small amount of mineral spirits applied. I was in a rush to get out the door and didn't take the greatest close-ups.
This comes from Peru, and it is harvested in a very interesting way. The country of Peru is very mountainous, so lengths longer than 10' are quite rare due to the logistics of extracting the raw logs. After being cut, drying must take place very slowly to prevent degrade. The rule of thumb is one year of air drying minimum for each inch of thickness. If dried too fast, silver streaks will appear after the boards are milled.

Nate, if math is correct, and rounding up, I came up with 7.35 cubic inches per $1 (588 cubic" -$80). If I asked for the top 12.5 inches, rounding up is 91 cubic divided by, 7.35 = $12.38

It would fit a medium rectangular USPS flat-rate. I'd plan on buying other woods from you to fill the box. What are your thoughts?
