I have some curly rambutan available for sale @$35/bf + shipping.
Very few US suppliers carry rambutan, let alone figured rambutan. These are from the EXACT SAME 3 TREES that Cook woods has on their website. I purchased this wood from the gentleman who sold stock to them a few years ago.
Willing to cut boards down to smaller sizes to save on shipping. I have about 300 board feet available.
This is a very dense wood.
All boards are 1 3/8 - 1 1/2 thick.

Hi @Lucasblanco37 I would be interested in a single short board. About 2 ft. long. Do you have one that size at least 1 3/8 thick you would be willing to sell? Any width is fine. The one leaning against the garage door in the first picture looks great if that is available! Or the one in the front left of the second photo that is leaning in front of a longer larger board? Thanks!

Do you have any common grained Rambutan? I just looked and see I only have one reference sample, and it is figured. I'd be interested in a straight grained sample and a curly sample. Samples finish at 6" long by 3" wide by 1/2" thick. Have anything that might fit the request?
 
I'd be interested in two pieces with good figure. I'd prefer your thickest option in 10x10 but could use down to about 7x7. Larger size is better.

... obviously this is only if you are opting to cut these boards up.

Rambutan is new to me, but I like what I see!
My craft involves taking advantage of certain imperfections in otherwise beautiful wood, like this.
Would you be willing to make full-width cuts that include the top and bottom of the tall board to the left in photo 1, and the top of the central board in photo 2 (see snippets below), I would happily claim just those. Depending on price, shipping, etc., perhaps other imperfections not readily visible could be included in a bundle?

There's no hurry, only interest in not letting these pieces get discarded while others may pursue "perfect" boards. Let's please chat!

Actually you can. But the photo has to be hosted somewhere else - Photobucket, Flickr, Google Photos, etc... Then you "Insert Link" of the photo address. It's been a while, so it could also be posting the link in "Insert Image"
 
I wanted to let you know that the Rambutan arrived today. I haven't broken into the box yet ... got some honey-do's to take care of first ...
 
Hi @Lucasblanco37 Do you happen to have any of this left? I bought a small board of this from you before and finally started to cut into it for a few project pieces. I’d be interested in a few bowl blanks 9x9 or 10x10 and 2” thick if you have. Thanks!

Lucas's price is definitely good (I already bought some), but Cooks is also a ripoff 😆 I use Cooks as a benchmark for how much is too much.

I actually stopped by Cook’s a few years back. Thinking they might have some good deals in person. Nope! No deals even in person. I was not impressed in the least! Have never bought anything from them! Chuck

I've bought a few pieces from them, and to be honest the quality isn't great. The Web images are altered to make it look like there's more color and contrast, and this is true even in hand picked pieces I've gotten. It's pretty messed up.
