Any recommendations for carbide dead centers? I've been using a Japanese brand, Sun you for a couple years with decent results but they're not easy to locate. I might as well invest in a new live tailstock center. Any ideas on both will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Can't help you with a dead center option, but one of the more highly regarded live center "systems" is the One-way. I think they run about $140 and have several different tips/cups. Another that gets good reviews is the Nova system that may not be as good as the One-way, but it is ~ $25 cheaper.
