@SEN texted me pictures of this piece, but I saw it on WB this morning, and a question ran through my mind as to whether that piece came from me. With his text, he confirmed it did. I know I sent him a box of stuff awhile back, but don't remember any DI with the colors that has. When I'm out collecting, all the stuff I find is already weathered and turned grey, usually with a deceased date of more than 30-40 years in my area. This piece doesn't look that old, hence the sapwood almost looking fresh.

Steve, that's a great looking piece. Nice simple shape. Is it a candle holder?

I'm gonna have to investigate the stuff I have, which from the pieces I've actually worked, are mostly dark with excellent chatoyance. ............ Nubs

This is part of the stuff that you sent me before SWAT last year. This is actually the first piece of desert Ironwood that I have turned out of the three that you sent me also done two of the Agarita now that I’ve finished this one I kinda have an idea of what I’ll do with the other two anytime you’re feeling generous just box them up and send them over. I am not a photographer. The pictures I posted do not do justice to these.
