For consideration is a log / branch that I believe was standing dead for some time before being rescued from the elements. During this time, the sapwood mostly weathered away, leaving a rounded top. Of course, this is conjecture.
Diameters: Approaching 2” on the smaller side, and ~3” at the larger end. Note natural curve, and crack / void at small end. Best I can tell, it is about 2” deep. See last photo.
Length: 19.5” from stem to stern, but note angled cut at large end.
Looking to trade for interesting live-edged pieces from his voluminous collection. Prefer twisted, gnarled what-knots with inclusions and evidence of a hared life that could be memorialized with polyurethane. Or anything exotic, Australian, or olive can also work. I’m easy.
