I have 100 ebony pen blanks. They are 3/4 x 3/4 x 4, so they are on the short side. I measured a handful, and they were all a little over 4". They are fully dry.
They are mostly black with a little brown hue. They actually look more black in person than in the photos. Some have some lighter brown tint or patterning . A handful have a tiny sliver of well demarkated sapwood, but for the most part these are all heartwood.
They were sold to me just as "ebony", so i don't know exact species. I suspect ceylon just because that's the most likely from my understanding. But i feel like they aren't as open grain as ceylon ebony, so they could be Gaboon.
I'm looking for $0.75 each, with a minimum order of 10 so it's worth the trip to UPS. Buyer pays pirate shipping.
