I just got this cut up. It's wet. 4" , 7+ , 50". Any trades out there ? Will cut it up for trade too. What does a bowl need to be?

you might get more interest if you wet it down to show the grain better, and show both sides. In other words, put some lipstick on it lol. Doesn't look very enticing as is....

Hey jesse, +1 on a better pic, take it indoors or get it during full sun. I'm interested in a 12 x 12 x 4 bowl blank, if you do decide to cut it up. PM sent regarding 2" thick, but I didn't know you had 4" thick stock, so thicker the better.

Pretty wood...but an accident waiting to happen for bowl blanks. Some might want to make a wild character piece from it...but those of us who have seen what a bowl does coming apart while spinning....
will likely shy away. Not that a bowl blank needs to be perfect, and I like having some inclusions if not too deep or take up too much area. Would be a great piece for someone to cut smaller blanks for other projects, ie. calls, small projects, mounts...etc. Hope to see some more solid pieces from that VW haul!
