Tony these are the 2 chunks o' bloodwood ya said you might be interested in on a previous thread. If ya have pretty much any specie in a 3"x 3"x 5" size or larger I would be tickled pink to trade with ya (Trying to turn an egg of every kind of wood). If not, a few sheckles, or whatever ya have collecting dust on your wood shelf to add to my collection would be great. I hate to see these go to waste so if ya can use them they're yours bud. Just pm me your address and I'll get them right out to ya.

Richard, I can check when I get home tonight I have in that size. Not sure what, if anything, I've got. Tony

Richard, I'll have to get back to you tomorrow. It's storming here tonight and I have to open the garage door to see what I've got. Tony

No big hurry bud be safe. Go ahead and pm me your address when ya have a chance and I'll get these out to ya. We can square up at your leisure.

@Valk

Richard, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Work and weather have been crazy!!
The only thing I've got that's 3" is Cedar, just plain material we use for fence posts down here. I've got Bois D'arc that is 2-1/2" but that's it. Is there anything of that or something else you could use? Tony

Tony sorry back atcha bud! Had to go out of state a few days. The Bois D'arc would be great if ya could. I can make that work. Shoot me your address when ya can so I can get these heading out to ya. Thank you Tony!

@Valk

Richard, how's this look? I think you might be able to get 3 x 3 out of it, or dam close. What else do you do? I don't like shipping air. Tony 20160508_115707.webp 20160508_115647.webp 20160508_115637.webp 20160508_115620.webp

That looks great Tony! I spend a great deal of time gluing together little chunks of wood to turn them into larger chunks of wood for turning etc so can put to use pretty much anything really. How about you? I would also rather fill the box with something solid :cool:

@Valk

Rich, got your box together and I will get it mailed tomorrow. Let me know what you think! Tony

Rich, got the box today, SWEET!!!! I have never worked with any of these woods, I'm super excited! Is the Holly that white or is it coated with something? Tony

Hi Tony sorry my puter croaked off on me :scare3: All good now. Yup the holly is actually that white. Very hard to keep that color and not crack while drying which is I guess why ya don't see it very much. One piece may have some wax on the end but thats about it. Glad ya like it! Got your box too! Excellent thank you so much! Had no idea that mesquite was that dense. What a beautiful wood, wish it grew here. You really packed that sucker! Thanks again bud!

Glad you got it, I was starting to worry! Let me know what you think of the Mesquite and if you want some more, I'm sure we could work out something. Post a picture of the Bois d'arc egg if you would also, curious to see how that looks! Tony
