This is a shot in the dark, I'm afraid, but I'm in need of someone that can do some CNC work for me. Relatively small items (4" x 2" x 2 1/2") that need to be routed out. I could supply a piece that is done exactly like what I'd want as a sample. I would likely usually need 3-10 at a time, but could possibly do more. I'd provide the wood.

I'd entertain someone that is not local, but would really prefer to have someone local where I could just drop them off when I need some done, and pick them up when completed. This will knock out shipping charges of $20 or so each way. But if I can't find someone local, or if the cost of routing these out is inexpensive enough, like I said, I'd entertain shipping them.

Now, I'm assuming that this would be a services for money thing, but if someone wanted some wood as a trade (maybe for example if I needed 12 pieces done, there would still be room in a LFR box for an 8 x 5 x 12 piece of wood...or pieces that would make that up). I could fill it with pen blanks, bottle stopper blanks, call blanks, HF blanks, whatever. Just a thought.

Thanks.

It might help out prospective clients if you have an image or photo of said object needing replication...

You're ugly and your mother dresses you funny...

I thought you were looking for comments and criticism.

I'd be interested but it'll be about 4 months before the machine shows up :) Might want to edit it to say CNC, the machinists will know what you want.:sofa:

Hehe, okay, everyone's having fun with my mess up... Yeah, I meant CNC. I always think of CNC as meaning Cut and Copy. Guess that's not it. So, if a mod would be so kind as to change the title (and any subsequent mention of C&C to CNC), I'd appreciate it.

Colin, if I haven't found a huckleberry, let me know when you get your machine.

Marc, I'll try to post a pic. Though I just got done with some of the pieces I had to do, and they are no longer in 'form' for picture taking.

I may be able to help you if you don't find anyone else local. I have a 4x4 CNC router and am well experienced in using it and creating the required drawings. I use it almost daily to make parts for my vacuum chambers and could most likely fit your stuff in as needed. If interested, please send me a pic or give me some idea of what you are needing to do.
