I'm on the lookout to get my hands on some small boards/ half rounds of Hawthorn or Holly, or any other non-commercially available wood that is native to America.

I have some old mulberry (in log but can mill), sycamore (quartersawn) and some eucalyptus (for turning or small boxes, also still in log) for trade if interested.

What sizes are you looking for? I've got a board around of Hawthorne about 5x24, Maybe 3/4 thick. Has some curl to it.

If the lyptus is figured, and if you want some bois d' arc harvested from exactly where the species originated eons ago, AND you can wait until next week we could do a trade.

I believe it has that ribbon grain. I'll slice up some and take some pics. Osage Orange? yes please :)

That's more than enough - I look for wood first, then decide on what I can make with it later. That would be plenty of hawthorn - pic? Looking to trade? any thing specific?

I'll dig it out in the next few days (I have to take a couple short road trips) I'd prbably be interested in Mulberry.

No rush. Im going on a road trip up to Eugene, Oregon this week anyways.
Mulberry for turning or flat stock?

I think I only have one or 2 4/4 boards left and they are pretty warped because the stuff moves like crazy. I'll have to check later. I am going to have to chop up a couple other things later in the week. How much are you looking for. I've been saving some just for accent work. I would not use it as a main wood because of how unstable it is.

The holly is unstable? Do you have a picture? I would use it also for accents. Is it whiter than maple?
Not much, I would just like to get some to experience it. Im looking for some of every kind eventually. :)
thanks for taking the time

@Palaswood The biggest clear pieces I have are roughly 4.5" square and 4" square x ~14" long. The larger pieces I have are checked to badly to get a large section from.
