A relative gave me three bits of meteorite some time ago. I've imagined myself shaping them into part of a handle or blade, but it hasn't happened. Time to move on.

Seems appropriate to trade for something quirky. So...I find myself carving flowers out of scraps lately. Anyone have any Aussie burl cutoffs or other colored scraps of wood to swap?

Honestly, if you think you can use them, say something. I'm not all that wrapped up in the return on these - just think interesting material shouldn't go to waste.

i have a couple of blocks of eucalyptus burl. it's from here in vegas. i'll post pictures tomorrow and see what you think

here are the two eucalyptus burl pieces i have. they are larger than i remembered. if one of these looks good to you. i'll put it in a FRB and ship it out. they are dry. logs cut over 10 yrs ago

Hard to tell the size on the left one. Can you give dimensions? What r you interested in trading For? Bowl, pen , other turned item, or wood?

I don't have any burl material other than a half dozen pen blanks. Most of what I do now is bowl turning and pepper Mills. I have various size blocks that I have harvested of maple, cherry, red oak, red pine, black locust, and box elder with some flame in it. Also maple and box elder with spalt. Let me know if any sound interesting and I can send some pics.
