I have an abundance of cherry burl and ideally would like to trade for walnut or redwood burl cut offs. Although, I would consider trading for other burl cut offs too.

If no one is wanting to trade, i would consider buying walnut burl cut offs.

I have some redwood burl cut offs and some walnut burl I need to cut into. But I would be looking for a chunk of cherry that I can hollow. You have any bigger pieces?

Open to sizes. At least 4" thick as a good starting point. Doesn't need to be 4" through the whole piece. Could be like a cap, that would work too.

That top one might work. I'm looking more for that general shape. The middle one is OK, but might be a little too narrow.

What's the overall size of the top one? Your tape measure isn't showing up in all the pictures.

What size cut offs are you looking for?

I need cut offs with natural edges suitable for resin casting ideally around
1 /2" to 1" x 1" to 2" x 3" to 5" or larger

Of course natural edge cut offs are very irregular shapes.

Sorry work has been crazy. Let me see what I have for natural edge stuff. I know I have some. Give me a day

Here are the 4 chucks that I have that are life edge. They are pretty good sizes. Let me know if you want specific close ups and dimensions of a specific one.

Here more pics of the piece on the right. At max it is about 17.5" long and about 3.5" height and width.

That piece looks good.

If I add an additional piece of cherry burl that is maybe 2x4x12 would you consider adding the top or bottom block?

If so, I will add a pic of a piece.

Thanks

You have a piece that is at least 2.5" instead of 2"? I could use it for a peppermill. 2" is more limiting.

Here is the pic of the LFRB with 2 pieces of cherry. I am not an expert regarding burl wood. How about I send it and you tell me what you think it is worth trading for. Thanks

Sure we can go that route if you want.

Here is the box I'll send to you. I had to trim the long one to fit and added some other pieces that I hope you can use.
