♫ εηdεd ♫ Who needs Bloodwood? Free to whoever I want, LOL

Message received -good to go. Contest over. Marc wins!

How many times will he win? You Marcks are getting too smarty for your own party.

Mark, put a real spider in Marc's box and see if it makes its way onto Michele's roll of feminine hygiene after a good pee . . . . . .

Michele, we all figure we need to do what we can to make you smile seeing as how you live with Marc. Tony

Not much better in the world than bringing a smile to someone who hasn't known the feeling in years. Well done Tony!

I can see 2 lazy susans out of that piece of bloodwood. Both of them would have burl or some other unusual wood as an inlay in the center with turquoise or malachite surrounding the inlay to create a vibrant contrast. Resawing it to get the 2 blanks will be a challenge but it can be done.

Yeah it could be resawed by creating a "sled" for the round by using a piece of 3/4" plywood as a "floor" putting the round in the middle and using more 3/4" ply cut with a 15" diameter cutout, using the corners to clamp the piece. Alternatively, one could just hot glue the blank to the center of a piece of 2'x2' 3/4" ply. Take that to someone with a wood mizer, clap it down and resaw the top. Chisel tap the hot glue and bottom round off, or use something that dissolves hot glue and voila 2 pieces, 15" round. Sure hope the faceplate holes on the one side don't show through. But then your idea of an inlay would work.

A guy could take that stuff and cut it up for pen blanks or knife scales or whatever too, LOL. (The horror!) Just keep that bloodwood away from me!

Marc, do you need me to make one for you? I got you brother! Tony

I think I can handle it bro. If I need help, the Mrs. know it all can help me....(with a good clubbing to noggin)
:sarcastic:
